Here at Certerra we are looking to bring on an additional Project Engineer P.E. to support our operations in Houston, Bridge City, and Corpus Christi, TX.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience
- Must have a TX Professional Engineering License or able obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, including planning field exploration programs, laboratory testing,and site characterization.
- Analyze geotechnical data and prepare engineering reports, recommendations, and design calculations.
- Design and evaluate shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes, pavements, and ground improvement solutions.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for geotechnical projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams throughout project development and execution.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
- Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase consultation and observation services.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
- Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development activities.
