About The Position

SitelogIQ’s Project Engineer Internship provides college students with exposure to different areas of construction. This eight-to-twelve-week summer experience involves working alongside SitelogIQ employees to learn their roles and responsibilities in the field and office. The hourly rate is $25.

Requirements

• Interest in a future career in the construction industry.
• College student in good standing at the school where enrolled.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
• Ability to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Project Managers by attending and participating in meetings, bidding, and scheduling.
• Learn construction methods, terminology, planning, specifications, and related documentation using Procore and other construction software.
• Shadow a Site Superintendent and assist with construction documentation using Procore and other construction software.
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, daily logs, jobsite photos, and schedules.
• Perform jobsite inspections and punch list walk-throughs.
• Work with the Preconstruction and Estimating team, attending and participating in meetings, estimating, and pricing.
• Learn and use estimating software and processes.
• Shadow the Safety team, learn safety principles with a strong emphasis on OSHA standards, and perform jobsite safety inspections.
• Participate in other meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate.
