S&B Services is looking for highly motivated Project Engineer Interns who are passionate about the construction process to join the team for the Summer of 2027. Requirements

Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program, Construction Management or related field of study

Nice To Haves

Prior industry internship experience is a plus
Extracurricular involvement is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with estimating, including describing project proposals and assigning dollar values.
Create project timelines for subcontractors.
Attend design meetings with owners and teams to understand design and structural engineering.
Send bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors for buyout, and evaluate proposals to award subcontracts.
Review subcontractor shop drawings and submittals with the Project Manager and design team, and communicate with subcontractors on upcoming work.
Work with Project Managers to understand billing, including managing subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, pay applications, and project cost status.
Visit jobsites with Project Managers and work with Project Superintendents to ensure the project is running smoothly.
Participate in weekly training sessions to understand the role and business operations, with an emphasis on building trades and leveraging engineering backgrounds.
