About The Position

The Project Engineer position will provide effective and efficient support to the project’s field management team and support assigned projects or project areas, along with supporting the Superintendent and Project Manager on an assigned project or multiple projects. The position will perform routine daily activities and assists in gathering and distributing information to team members and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or minimum two (2) years of experience in the infrastructure construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, and Primavera P6
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with building/estimating techniques.
  • Strong initiative, communication, problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Positive professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Be a champion of JHL’s vision, purpose, values, brand promise, and overall brand.
  • Must have the ability to remain in a seated position.
  • Must have the ability to speak, write and comprehend English language.
  • Must have the ability to lift office products and supplies, up to 20 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to hear clearly.
  • Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Must have dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Must have the ability to remain in a standing or kneeling position.
  • Must have the ability to lift tools and supplies, up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have dexterity to utilize and manipulate tools and materials.
  • Must have clear vision, or wear glasses/contacts if vision is obscured

Responsibilities

  • Oversees document control processes (submittals, RFI’s, ASI’s, change management, etc.)
  • Assist with site safety documentation
  • Assist with developing and updating project CPM schedule
  • Assist in verification of quality of work put in place (QC conformance & punch list administration)
  • Facilitating subcontractor and supplier coordination, and procurement working in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager leading the project team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
