About The Position

Eichleay is seeking a Project Engineer - Industrial Capital Projects to support the delivery of industrial capital projects valued up to $20 million total installed cost (TIC). In this role, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, engineering leaders, clients, contractors, and project teams to help deliver impactful projects across a variety of sectors which may include energy, chemicals, food & beverage, life sciences, and industrial manufacturing sectors. Requirements

  • Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years related experience with one (1) year of project management / project engineering experience.
  • Basic understanding of project execution phases and capital project delivery.
  • Working knowledge project controls, including scheduling, planning, forecasting, estimating, and cost management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a client‑facing, onsite environment.
  • Understanding of the phase-gate work process for project funding.
  • Travel to local clients will be required and can be at least one day per week for meetings.
  • HHFT Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
  • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
  • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain. TWIC card must be obtained prior to start date or start date may need to be adjusted.
  • Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
  • Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.
  • Authorization to work in the US without the need for sponsorship.
  • Ability to be badged and maintain a badge as a safety sensitive position and/or within the Building and Construction trade for process safety management governed facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct working experience supporting industrial capital projects in refining, chemicals, energy, manufacturing, food & beverage, life sciences, or related industries.
  • Experience with project management systems such as Unanet, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies and phase-gate project development processes.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements; actively support a zero-incident culture.
  • Apply Eichleay project delivery processes, procedures, and quality standards across all phases of work.
  • Coordinate and integrate activities across engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, internal teams, and overseas engineering partner to support clear communication and timely decision-making.
  • Lead and support internal and external meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items and decisions.
  • Support development of project deliverables, including scopes of work, decision support packages, cost estimates, schedules, and work orders.
  • Monitor project performance by supporting cost, schedule, forecasting, and change management activities.
  • Identify emerging technical or execution issues and coordinate with project teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, procurement packages, and construction work packages; track progress by project phase.
  • Support permitting activities, including preparation and submission of regulatory packages.
  • Prepare and distribute routine project reports, presentations, and client communications.
  • Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support field and construction activities, including site visits and coordination with field teams as required.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge management systems.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Unanet) to support budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and project setup.
  • Assist with project closeout, including documentation, reporting, and turnover requirements.
