About The Position

Inside the Role DTNA Engineering Project Management (EPM) is responsible for the project management of major product projects at DTNA, which includes product planning, technical feasibility studies, budget schedule development, and coordination of work across impacted departments. EPM is an excellent department to gain knowledge of the entire product development process and our products, as well as expand your professional network. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience OR 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated skills in project management processes required
  • Knowledge of product development processes required
  • Experience preparing and giving presentations required
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills required
  • Good networking skills and a strong interest in Project Management required
  • Ability to work with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software packages required
  • Ability to handle multiple, detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management required
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity & ongoing change is required
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be well organized, able to handle multiple detailed tasks, effectively prioritize, and work professionally with various levels of management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • An attached resume is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a Technical related field is preferred
  • Experience working on a DTNA project team preferred
  • Knowledge of the DTNA systems and business processes preferred
  • Experience in automotive/heavy duty truck industry or related experience is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or ability to obtain within one year of hire preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage Engineering projects.
  • Create detailed project timing plans and work closely with Engineering and other departments to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate and facilitate project-related meetings such as status reviews, design reviews, mockup reviews, and visual management meetings
  • Publish minutes and track action items
  • Identify risks and escalate to management when appropriate.
  • Prepare project status reports and present CVDS gate updates to project committees
  • Assess feasibility, budget and timing for future product development project
  • Recommend scope changes to maximize return on investment
  • Recommend and assist with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Use and support the DTNA Visual Management process for running Projects
