This role leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management and troubleshooting for engineering projects. The Project Engineer II ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. This role requires working knowledge and experience in their job discipline and broadens capabilities, continuing to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers. They perform a range of assignments related to their job discipline, using prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction with consistent exercise of discretion & judgment.

Requirements

Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience
Engineering degree required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
Provides technical support for the engineering process.
Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project.
Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
