As our Project Engineer, you will report to the Manager, Project Engineering Poultry. This role is hybrid, reporting into our Gainesville facility, with travel up to 10% including international. Requirements

  • Degree preferred
  • AutoCAD or similar experience
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Similar technical experience
  • Project experience preferred
  • Agile PLM experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develops detailed engineering layouts and documentation based on proposal requirements and customer needs.
  • Prepares complete engineering packages including updated layouts, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Reviews BOMs and technical details to ensure system accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the project scope.
  • Translates proposal concepts into finalized engineering requirements and identifies system gaps that need clarification.
  • Evaluates information from third-party providers and determines whether it aligns with project requirements.
  • Collaborates with Sales, Innovation, and Project Management to confirm feasibility and resolve issues.
  • Reviews production drawings and configuration details prior to release and identifies required corrections.
  • Provides input into hour estimates and supports planning for engineering tasks based on project complexity.
  • Ensures engineering deliverables are accurate, consistent, and ready for downstream teams.
  • Prepares updates and summaries that communicate engineering status and key decisions.
