About The Position

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking an accountable Project Engineer for Nikkiso Cryoquip in Murrieta, CA. This role is responsible for equipment design and project execution, including designing, scheduling, and managing all technical engineering and manufacturing activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The company is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, services, and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry, and is a subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd, a global industrial manufacturer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering is preferred.
  • 2 to 3 Years of experience in Engineering.
  • Advance skills in MS Office and Project suites are required.
  • Time management and Organization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management a plus.
  • Exposure to cryogenic or natural gas industry is highly desired.
  • Good communication skills, proven discipline to carry out assigned tasks with little supervision and proven Team Player.
  • Experience with large manufacturing sites or construction facilities is preferred.
  • Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, ChemCAD, PV Elite, or Caesar II is a plus.
  • Experience with Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design is highly desired.
  • Previous experience and success working in a dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
  • Direct communication with the customer for the assigned projects, including handling change orders and submitting required documentation.
  • Develops project objectives (budget and schedule) by reviewing project proposals and plans and consulting with Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, and reporting schedule performance for project tasks.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Develops project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements with project team.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
  • Controls project costs by reviewing cost implications.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains project database; entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Select mechanical components and produce the related justifying documents.
  • Create / modify bills of materials.
  • Prepare Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Provide technical support for the company’s sales team and site personnel for existing equipment.
