The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with administrative duties associated with the project, material releases, vendor follow-up, coding invoices for A/P, routine correspondence, field dimensioning, change orders, submittals and labor and delivery schedules. This role also involves managing project submittals, subcontract administration, coordinating communications, ensuring quality control, assisting with job closeout, and resolving client conflicts. The Project Engineer will record information in the Project Control/Document Control System, review job costs, manage shop drawings, release materials, visit job sites, maintain logs, prepare manuals, and assist with monthly billings and cost projections.
