The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution. This position is 70% management and 30% technical. The role involves daily work with the larger EPDS team on procurements and programmatics, establishing supplier relationships (batteries, solar arrays, and control electronics), and working with the team to prepare and manage hardware definition and interfaces. A solid hardware background is required. The position also requires extensive technical writing, including proposal development, contractual elements, procedural definitions, specifications, interfaces, analysis support, and description documents. The engineer will prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers. Maintaining a regular and predictable work schedule and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company are also key aspects of the role. Performing other duties as necessary is expected.
