About The Position

Most Engineering and Construction professionals spend their careers working on roads and buildings from behind a screen in an office. Ours spend theirs inside hydroelectric dams, in tunnels and on underground and geotechnical projects that most contractors won’t take on. Our project engineers are in the field from the start, working next to people who have spent their whole careers on this kind of work. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
1-2 years of U.S. Based heavy civil experience (internships and co-ops count)
Able to read and work from construction drawings
Willing and able to work on project sites away from home for extended periods
Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without employer sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Dam, hydro, tunnel, or geotechnical project exposure
EIT certification
Survey or layout experience
An internship with a heavy civil or underground contractor

Responsibilities

Implement project quality control plans
Interpret drawings and specifications, perform quantity calculations and material takeoffs
Develop weekly look-ahead schedules to help the Superintendent stay ahead of project work
Field surveying and layout alongside our crews
Prepare work plans and schedule material deliveries
Maintain project records, including daily reports, photos, and job cost data
Support change orders and as-built documentation
Learn cost tracking and scheduling from project managers who will train you to run your own work
Learn, collaborate, and innovate on each project
