About The Position

At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. BETA Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Engineer to support our growing Flight Instruments team. In this role, you’ll be at the center of our effort to deliver certifiable avionics systems for an electric aircraft—bridging the gap between technical execution, supplier coordination, and internal schedule management. You’ll work closely with engineers across disciplines, lead the coordination of supplier deliverables, and help drive the team toward key certification and integration milestones. This is a highly cross-functional position with both technical and programmatic responsibilities—ideal for someone who understands avionics development and knows how to drive a project across the finish line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or a related engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with ARP 4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254
  • Prior experience in aircraft system integration, preferably with avionics
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with demonstrated project coordination experience
  • Experience using Polarion, JIRA, and Confluence (or equivalent tools)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work at an aircraft OEM or avionics supplier
  • Hands-on experience managing certification artifacts and processes
  • Familiarity with Part 23/25 or Part 27/29 aircraft certification programs
  • Experience working with FAA, DERs, or equivalent regulatory authorities

Responsibilities

  • Track internal technical schedules and deliverables across the Avionics & Flight Instruments team
  • Task and organize team efforts to support system design, test, and certification timelines
  • Coordinate with avionics suppliers to manage deliverables, reviews, and open items
  • Own and maintain Statements of Work (SOWs) and development agreements, and ensure alignment on scope and expectations
  • Support flight test readiness and integration efforts as part of a fast-moving certification program

Benefits

  • BETA offers a competitive Total Compensation package designed to support you now and as you grow with us.
  • This role includes both Restricted Stock Units and Performance Stock Units for all full-time team members, so everyone shares in our success.
  • You’ll have access to onsite healthcare in Vermont, comprehensive medical coverage, dental and vision, short- and long-term disability, and paid parental leave.
  • We also take care of the everyday details with daily lunch provided, and yes—flight lessons are part of the experience, along with a range of additional perks that make work here genuinely rewarding.
