The Project Engineer - Environmental Control and Life Support System will support the space program located in Houston, TX. This role involves developing project documentation, maintaining drawing status, and managing procurements. The engineer will generate essential paperwork such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP). They will collaborate with the ECLSS Air Team to ensure test strategies effectively assess system performance and capabilities. Responsibilities include inspecting hardware, building test rigs, performing system testing, and designing piping and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs) for life support systems. The role also requires performing pressure system calculations, developing and presenting design/test readiness reviews, and creating test plans and reports. Scheduling testing with facilities and developing test schedules with the ECLSS Air Team are key duties. The engineer will also work with procurement personnel and vendors, analyze test results, and assist project management with configuration control. Development of test procedures for flight certification, creating presentations, and developing logistics, manufacturing, and procurement plans are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned.
