(“SEL”) family of companies, seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Project Engineer – Design position located at our Houston, Texas field office. Requirements

• Possess, understand, and apply the electrical engineering fundamental concepts, principles, practices, and procedures of electric power system design.
• Apply the principles of electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical specifications and create detailed physical and electrical designs, bill of materials, and job estimates.
• Train and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of electric power systems.
• Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of SEL’s power systems and related SEL products.
• Assign, complete, and implement assigned work within agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget to a high level of quality and safety.
• Assist in the identification, preparation, and presentation of successful proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
• Participate in the preparation of functional design specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables.
• Provide support for other company marketing, sales, application engineering, and development activities.
• Continuously identify, measure, and improve company engineering processes.
