About The Position

The Mission Critical Center of Excellence manages billions of dollars in projects annually, specializing in data center and mission-critical construction for leading technology and telecommunications clients across the United States. The Commissioning Project Engineer assists in managing, evaluating, and assessing information necessary to ensure commissionable project assets and systems are installed, tested, started, and turned over to the client in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent construction management experience.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and aptitude.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with basic features of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Autonomous initiative and innovative thinking will highly benefit the candidate’s progression and overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Compile commissionable asset/system database(s).
  • Assist with commissioning plan development.
  • Drive organization and maintenance of project commissioning files and documentation.
  • Read and understand basic shop drawings and compare them to project documents.
  • Verification of shop drawings to field conditions.
  • Support quality control, commissioning, and punch list processes.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining vertical and horizontal controls on the project.
  • Assist with asset logistics planning, tracking, and management.
  • Participate in project commissioning schedule development and management.
  • Monitor the project commissioning cycle including progress observations, coordinating diagnostic testing.
  • Assist in the field performance of MEP commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with project subcontractors to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and project budget commissioning requirements.
