Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Project Engineer - Configuration Data Management to join the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team. This role involves coordinating the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects, with a focus on configuration and data management (CDM) processes, procedures, and tools. The candidate will support the FBM program's implementation of hardware documentation requirements and ensure a sound understanding of CDM life-cycle activities. This position requires close collaboration with program leaders and multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to achieve unified solutions that meet system performance, cost, and schedule requirements. The role includes analyzing proposed design changes, managing modification records, establishing change orders, and preparing documentation for both company and subcontractors. A key responsibility is ensuring customer requirements are met, approvals are captured, and compliance with configuration management policies is maintained. The candidate will also be responsible for the process of capturing and releasing classified documentation and models in accordance with DOD contracts, providing support for markings, formatting, and handling of documentation. General coordination and implementation of CDM requirements, policies, and practices for configuration identification (baseline documentation, hardware, and software) are also part of the role. Additionally, the candidate will manage the release process of documentation and process CDRLs/SDRLs according to contract specifications, and capture Electronic Data Files in both classified and unclassified areas, while handling classified documents.
