As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and field leaders while gaining hands-on experience managing commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is an opportunity to develop your technical, operational, and leadership skills while working on some of the most exciting commercial construction projects in Houston. Whether your goal is to become a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Operations Leader, TRIO provides the training, mentorship, and experience to help you get there.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Ability to build relationships with field and office teams
  • Desire to learn commercial construction and project management
  • Comfortable visiting jobsites throughout the Houston area
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, engineering, project coordination, or related experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supporting project teams from preconstruction through project closeout
  • Coordinating project documentation, communications, and approvals
  • Assisting with project schedules, reporting, and tracking milestones
  • Participating in project meetings and documenting action items
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Coordinating with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
  • Tracking submittments, RFIs, permits, and project documentation
  • Supporting procurement and material coordination efforts
  • Monitoring project progress and helping identify potential risks or issues
  • Assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover requirements
