Requirements

  • A valid Driver's License is required with a safe driving record and must complete a pre-employment screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Familiarity with Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) projects.
  • The ideal candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Louisiana. If currently registered in another state, the endorsement in the State of Louisiana must be obtained within 6 months of receiving the project notice to proceed (NTP).
  • For individuals with degrees in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management must have 2 years of relevant engineering experience in transportation projects.
  • For individuals without degrees in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management must have 8 years of experience in CEI, roadway, or bridge construction, with at least 2 years in relevant transportation projects.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management may substitute for 1 year of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, collaborate with and provide direction to project teams, utilize MS Office, including creating Excel spreadsheets with formulas, work independently, solving work-related problems with initiative and judgment, assign specific tasks to administrative and field staff, assisting in all phases of construction projects
  • Managing projects, interacting directly with clients and prospects, and handling client-facing communication
  • Monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with schedules and contract requirements
  • Reviewing and modifying project schedules, specifications, and drawings
  • Preparing Supplemental Agreements and Work Orders in accordance with DOT specifications
  • Actively pursuing future work opportunities.
