About The Position

Buildings account for approximately 40% of global CO2 emissions, and Parity’s advanced SaaS platform helps optimize HVAC and mechanical systems in real time using predictive analytics, automation, and cloud-based building controls. Our technology enables building owners and operators to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and significantly lower carbon emissions through intelligent energy management solutions. This role will support the deployment, optimization, commissioning, and continuous improvement of HVAC and building automation systems across our growing portfolio of client properties. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, Operations, and Sales teams to develop engineering solutions, improve system performance, manage technical projects, and support the implementation of innovative building energy optimization technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • Leading/instructing groups
  • Commission systems and components
  • Design, analyze, and optimize HVAC and mechanical building systems to improve energy efficiency and operational performance
  • Conduct engineering assessments and technical evaluations of existing building mechanical systems and controls infrastructure
  • Lead the deployment, testing, commissioning, and validation of HVAC control systems and building automation systems (BAS)
  • Interpret mechanical controls drawings, specifications, technical reports, and engineering documentation
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve automation, controls integration, system reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate and manage technical projects from initiation through completion while ensuring timelines, budgets, and engineering standards are achieved
  • Collaborate with software, product development, and operations teams to integrate cloud-based optimization technologies with mechanical systems
  • Investigate equipment performance issues and recommend corrective engineering actions
  • Support the development of internal engineering tools, analytics processes and building performance monitoring systems
  • Ensure engineering projects comply with applicable safety standards, technical specifications, environmental requirements, and quality assurance procedures
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams, building operators, and clients regarding HVAC system operations and optimization strategies
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to energy conservation, sustainability and building operations
