This Project Engineer role is focused on automotive lighting, requiring leadership and coordination across engineering, production, and supplier teams. The successful candidate will manage task distribution within the EDAG project team, serve as the primary technical interface to the customer, and provide onsite support for vehicle assembly issues. Key responsibilities include monitoring project timelines, managing cross-functional teams from concept to launch, and integrating lighting solutions into vehicle designs while optimizing technologies and ensuring compliance with OEM standards. The role also involves delivering exterior lighting commodity plans, managing supplier design and validation, supporting ECU software integration, and coordinating R48 and FMVSS 108 certifications. The engineer will be accountable for achieving quality, cost, and time targets, liaising with OEM departments, resolving technical issues, contributing to product specifications, identifying risks, and conducting design reviews and prototype testing. The position requires ensuring all program targets, including Piece Cost, ED&D Budget, Timing, Weight, and Quality, are met, and managing the product launch until J1+90. The company is open to considering alternative engagement arrangements, including a self-employed basis, subject to mutual agreement.
