About The Position

Vanir is seeking a Project Director with proven leadership quality and strong communication skill who can build on our continued success in the healthcare sector. To date, Vanir has delivered more than 170 individual healthcare projects valued at over $4.3 billion, including medical clinics, veteran’s homes, children’s hospitals, and licensed acute care and mental health facilities. We manage the construction of new facilities, renovation projects, seismic upgrades and building additions.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required.
15+ years of experience providing project / program management services on healthcare projects.
OSHPD experience.
Experience in managing the full construction of healthcare construction project life-cycle: including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews is required.
Advanced knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required.
Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred.
CMAA - Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
DBIA - Design Build Associate, or Professional certification is preferred.
Registered Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing the planning, coordination, and direction for a healthcare program.
Ensuring the program and individual projects are on budget and schedule, and the design fits the client’s requirements.
Supporting design and construction and will be responsible for client interface, scope, schedule, and budget tasks as senior leadership in the field.
Employee development, including coaching, mentoring, supervisory and training techniques.
Supervising project team and ensures quality services consistent with Vanir procedures, client goals, and contract responsibilities on areas of safety, performance, and project staff.
Developing an implementation plan and master schedule that reflects the priorities of the client.
Responsible for timely completion of all deliverables required by the client.
Financial reporting to the client.
Developing and reviewing contract documents.
Reporting and collaborating with client’s senior management team on all project matters.
Developing and implementing a program quality management system.
Documenting and reporting all program/project data accurately and in a timely manner.
Managing program controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client.
Tracking all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related contract requirements.
Creating and presenting program and project data clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
Identifying risk and creating risk mitigation plans successfully.
Developing recommended actions and assisting in resolving disputes relative to design and construction.
Providing management of program logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization.
Performing other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project success.
Ensuring contractor, architect, and engineer will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
