The Project Director – Systems of Care will provide leadership, direction, and guidance for planning and implementing the project. This role oversees all project activities related to SAMHSA, including evaluation, social marketing and communication, cultural responsiveness, and community engagement. The Project Director responds to the direction of the Principal Investigator to achieve project goals, objectives, and expected outcomes, and to plan for the sustainability of critical activities of the initiative. A key aspect of this role is ensuring all parts of the project are culturally and linguistically responsive to the populations served in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services, and training. The Project Director must understand the project budget and ensure project activities and expenses stay within budget, as well as ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained per grant requirements. This position provides direct supervision to the Lead Family Coordinator and other staff as deemed necessary. The Project Director is also responsible for preparing a SAMHSA grant budget and presenting it to the principal investigator for consideration. Developing strong interagency collaboration, one that is culturally competent, respects all players, and builds a true partnership, is essential. Additionally, the role involves establishing and maintaining internal and external communication mechanisms and contacts needed to facilitate program operations.
