About The Position

The Storage Integration team is looking for an innovative and dynamic Project Director who is passionate about renewable energy. In this position you will be heavily involved with Renewable Development projects from beginning to end, to include exposure to cross functional teams across the NextEra Energy Resources organization. You will be part of a growing team of experts who not only provide excellent inputs and analysis but are also customer service oriented with internal and external stakeholders. Employees in this role are strong problem solvers, blending creative and analytical skills to solve the grid problems of today and future. You will use utilize data from various internal and external sources to perform technical & market analysis and propose storage & hybrid solutions to support our customers’ evolving needs. As an internal consultant, you will be expected to work collaboratively with Developers, Originators, and technical SMEs to support RFPs, customer discussions and PPA negotiations. Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new or enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.

Requirements

  • High School Grad /GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • 7+ years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive results
  • Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
  • Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
  • Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
  • Constructs contractual arrangements for project development
  • Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors
  • Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
  • Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
  • Identifies opportunities and negotiates power sales contracts
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
