Project Development Engineer

Danos•Spring, TX

About The Position

The Project Development Engineer is the front-end integrator for greenfield and brownfield upstream unconventional well locations, facilities, and infrastructure. The role translates business objectives, operational needs, and technical inputs into aligned, execution-ready scopes and builds partnerships across stakeholders to support safe, efficient, value-focused execution. The engineer leads early planning and scope definition for well pads, tank batteries, well pad facilities, flowlines, and related infrastructure through design-basis readiness. The role supports business-unit development planning milestones, including decision quality assurance reviews (Roadmaps) and drill unit reviews (DUR), and helps ensure smooth handoff into project execution. This position coordinates across business units, operations, wells, project execution, engineering, land, regulatory, project controls, and supply chain. It develops and evaluates infrastructure options, supports investment and development decisions, stewards pre-Gate 3 technical basis and planning, and contributes to tools and processes that improve scope quality and execution readiness. Additional duties include engineering review, risk assessment, incident investigation, performance testing, operating guideline development, and mentoring colleagues.
