About The Position

The Project Designer is responsible for designing and preparing erection drawings, shop tickets, and material requisitions from contract drawings and engineering calculations. The Project Designer works closely with the Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Detailers to support project success.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with a specialization in AutoCAD Drafting/Design or related field
• Previous experience working in the precast concrete industry
• 3D Modeling in Solidworks, Tekla, and/or Revit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Prepare erection drawings in conformance with contract documents and in accordance with our estimate
• Review of Component Tickets for Assigned Projects
• Compare erection drawings with estimate and communicate changes with Project Manager
• Prepare Installation Material List
• Work closely with Project Team to ensure Engineering Calculations are being followed
• Accurately read and interpret contract Architectural and Structural Drawings
• Participate in project and design meetings and inform Project Manager of project needs
