About The Position

it's electric has been named as one of the products that will define technological innovation for the rest of this decade and beyond. A public charging solution to address the infrastructural barriers cities face in the deployment of electric vehicle charging. Applying candidates should be excited to do the work needed to grow along with one of the most promising climate start-ups in the country. Role Description: The Project Designer role centers on strategically planning and executing it’s electric’s unique model of curbside charging infrastructure. The lifecycle the role is responsible for includes design, permitting, and construction management of deployments in it’s electric’s Northeast project areas, while also supporting deployments across the broader it’s electric deployment pipeline across the country, as needed.

Requirements

  • Background and expertise in architecture, urban planning, or closely related fields
  • Examples of urban design and build projects (extra points if in urban rights-of-way) that have been physically built and are in use
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience seeing projects through from concept to completion
  • Comfortable using digital design and drawing tools, such as Illustrator or AutoCAD
  • Familiar with building codes, zoning requirements, and urban design standards
  • Experience working with trades and contractors during the construction and sign-off phases
  • Ability to contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of project tracking and documentation tools and assets
  • Highly organized
  • Able to work with a high amount of autonomy, clarity, and precision

  • Experience deploying EV charging
  • Experience in urban rights-of-way projects

Responsibilities

  • Design, permitting, and construction management of deployments in it’s electric’s Northeast project areas
  • Supporting deployments across the broader it’s electric deployment pipeline across the country, as needed
  • Lead and advance projects with city officials as well as project stakeholders
  • Fully managing the activities of company consultants and contractors
  • Conduct site visits
  • Attend meetings with city permitting agencies and contractors
  • Support utility signoffs and coordination
  • Build and maintain productive, positive, and long-term relationships with stakeholders
  • Proactively and assertively tend the permitting, technical, and highly targeted project schedule
