Responsibilities

  • Analyze large volumes of medical claims to uncover billing anomalies, outlier patterns, and potential improper payments — turning raw data into actionable insights that protect program integrity and taxpayer dollars.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to analyze large-scale Medicaid claims datasets.
  • Work hands-on with medical claims data, including DRGs, UB-04 institutional claims, and CMS-1500 professional claims, applying knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
  • Build dashboards and analytical visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks) to surface risk indicators and support investigative teams.
  • Partner with program integrity, healthcare operations, and analytics colleagues to identify emerging fraud, waste, and abuse patterns.
