About The Position

This role is for a Project Coordinator at BAE Systems, located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The position is full-time and performed 100% on-site. The Project Coordinator will provide administrative, documentation, and process support to multiple engineering teams, ensuring seamless project execution. This includes non-technical documentation support, parts ordering, general inquiry and problem-solving, application/tool support, and coordination of program tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years work experience
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format engineering documentation, interfacing with technicians, engineers, and engineering managers to create/edit documentation and verify change requests.
  • Provide tools expertise and support for Engineering, including MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools, and generating reports.
  • Support the preparation of presentations and assist in the collection of metrics and preparation of presentation materials for analysis.
  • Assist Project Engineers with various project management tasks, including tracking action items, risk management tools, and tasks in change management tools.
  • Support the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives and bid reviews.
  • Administer the engineering change management process, including facilitating stakeholder reviews.
  • Assist in managing classified laboratory needs, including secure data transfers.
  • Act as the primary focal and liaison for program support across engineering and other departments.
  • Network with internal and external personnel at multiple levels in the area of expertise.
  • Order and kit parts.
  • Coordinate builds with various labs and operations.
  • Track hardware assets.
