About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Hybrid Project Coordinator to support three complementary research initiatives focused on mental health and exercise interventions: KBIM-Dane: A community-based participatory research project implementing an exercise intervention within two clinics supporting a first-episode psychosis program. CBT+: A study evaluating cognitive-behavioral therapy enhancements for depression. RESIST: A randomized controlled trial investigating resistance exercise as a treatment for depression. This full-time position will allocate approximately one-third effort to each project, with the coordinator serving as the lead coordinator for KBIM-Dane and providing essential support for CBT+ and RESIST and other ongoing and upcoming projects in Dr. Meyer’s Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory. Specific weekly and ongoing timing may shift among the projects and general work within the Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory component of the position. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse research methodologies and clinical settings, contributing to innovative exercise-based approaches to mental health care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, psychology, public health, or a closely related field.
  • Experience coordinating clinical or community-based research.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing multiple concurrent priorities and communicating effectively with teams.
  • Experience with IRB processes and research compliance.
  • Knowledge of mental health research or behavioral intervention studies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project start-up, including IRB submissions, protocol development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate clinic partnerships and facilitate community-based participatory research activities (e.g., focus groups).
  • Manage recruitment, scheduling, and data collection across two clinical sites (Flyy and Chrysalis).
  • Lead implementation of the co-designed exercise intervention at the clinical sites.
  • Complete assessment and intervention visits, as needed.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, and retention strategies.
  • Serve as a central communication point for investigators and research staff across projects.
  • Track timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare progress reports, meeting agendas, and documentation for funders and stakeholders.
  • Assist with design, planning, logistics, and setup of additional projects within the Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for research supplies, equipment, and facilities
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
  • Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
  • Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
