About The Position

The Senior IT Project Coordinator provides advanced project coordination and governance support for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This role partners closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure effective planning, execution, reporting, and compliance across a portfolio of IT initiatives. The Senior IT Project Coordinator operates with a high degree of independence, supporting complex, cross-functional projects, mentoring less experienced coordinators and project managers, and ensuring consistent application of EPMO standards, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in IT project coordination or PMO support roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance.
  • CAPM certification required; PMP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work across business and technical teams to drive initiatives.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level coordination support for medium to large, cross-functional IT projects across the enterprise.
  • Partner with Project Managers to define and document project objectives, scope, schedules, resource plans, and dependencies.
  • Develop and distribute accurate, timely project status reporting, dashboards, and metrics that are consumable at both the project and executive level.
  • Independently develop, maintain, and monitor detailed program and project plans, schedules, and milestones, escalating risks or variances as needed.
  • Proactively track and manage program and project risks, issues, decisions, and action items throughout the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, including preparation of agendas, facilitation support, documentation, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation in compliance with EPMO standards, IT SDLC policies, and governance requirements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior Project Coordinators and Project Managers.
