About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator who is customer facing, to lead customer-driven projects from initiation through delivery. This role is full-time and on-site at our Kearny, NJ facility. The role requires strong coordination across engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP, Basecamp, Excel, and a solid understanding of construction drawings and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related fields, Engineering is considered a plus
  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in SAP, Basecamp, and Excel
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and general construction practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams/departments
  • Requires 10-20% travel throughout the month
  • Ability to work full time in the office (this is not a remote position)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for customers to gather all necessary information for project execution
  • Works directly with customer to ensure all pertinent information is received for project deliverables
  • Expected to manage and update project timelines and milestones using SAP ERP platform
  • Create and distribute project work statements for new customer orders to the engineering team
  • Lead and direct projects using Basecamp project management software
  • Responsible for issuing shop work orders and managing shipping documentation
  • Participate in engineering review meetings to communicate project priorities and expected completion dates for design drawings
  • Organize and lead customer conference calls to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Utilize Smartsheet to coordinate and prioritize engineering and design tasks
  • Expected to have a strong understanding of construction drawings with experience with general construction processes and procedures
  • Review weekly production schedules across multiple facilities to assess capacity and prioritize tasks for on-time material delivery
  • Manage open purchase orders and change orders with internal teams and customers
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue and update sales opportunities to leadership
  • Monitor production capacity constraints and escalate issues to relevant team members
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and manufacturing engineering to improve scheduling and planning processes
  • Participate in weekly production meetings across facilities to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Generate and distribute daily and monthly sales reports to leadership to support quarterly sales goals
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue and update sales opportunities to leadership
  • Occasional travel as needed to job sites and/or customer locations.
