About the Job: The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager in various duties and responsibilities. Their main duties include working closely with Project Managers in maintaining budgets and work schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings and ensuring all deadlines for assigned projects are met. The Project Coordinator will have a focus on safety, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the project team to help develop and maintain an overall project schedule. The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the project plan is effectively communicated to the Customer and Barnhart Superintendent with Safety and Efficiency in mind. Description: Complete Barnhart’s onboarding and training. Responsibilities include the Safe and Efficient coordination of assigned projects. Participate in customer site visits to ensure complete understanding of the project scope, contractual obligations and project risks. Work with the Project Manager to understand and then implement the project plan; maintain communication with the Customer and Project Team over the course of the project, and document changes that affect the job scope, schedule, or budget agreement. Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures. Interact with customers, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and others as needed throughout the project. Work closely with the project team to develop and maintain an overall project schedule. Understand critical path items, anticipate problematic issues, and help see them to resolution. Responsible for anticipating typical issues that historically challenge schedules, construction, and impact project costs. Identify these issues and work with the project team to develop solutions to overcome potential problem areas. Responsible to regularly and accurately communicate the project status, including schedule, risk assessment, quality, safety and other key areas. Responsible for coordinating work crews and scheduling required equipment. Provide feedback and ideas of how we can better serve our teams and customers as a project management team. The team is to adhere to the management principles as established by the Senior Leadership Team. Must be willing to travel as needed and be able to work with and manage field leadership.
