About The Position

The Project Coordinator is an entry-level, field-integrated support role focused on documentation, logistics, field administration, and compliance tracking in active utility construction environments. Working closely with project coordinators, superintendents, and quality personnel, project coordinator will assist in organizing and maintaining construction records, inputting field data, and supporting the execution team in delivering safe, high-quality work. This role is designed to build core competency in document control, QA/QC processes, subcontractor management, and site coordination practices within contractor-led utility projects.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering technology, or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of field or construction coordination experience; exposure to utility work is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of scopes of work, construction roles, and project execution principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn project systems and platforms.
  • Strong organization, task follow-through, and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain and maintain U.S. work authorization
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Complete background screening and criminal record checks as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Primavera P6 or Procore, Viewpoint a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily production tracking, including timesheets, equipment usage, and material logs.
  • Organize and distribute current drawings, permits, and project documentation to field crews.
  • Support planning and documentation for pre-job meetings, safety briefings, and client updates.
  • Collect field documentation such as test logs, photos, NCRs, and inspection forms for QA teams.
  • Coordinate with superintendents and QC personnel to ensure timely submission and proper recordkeeping.
  • Support document turnover processes to internal systems and client representatives.
  • Enter data into cost tracking sheets and project software to support progress monitoring.
  • Assist with purchase order coding, commitment tracking, and material usage reconciliation.
  • Support safety teams with incident reports, field audits, and documentation of near misses.
  • Learn internal document management protocols including folder structure, file naming, and transmittal tracking.
  • Develop proficiency with construction systems such as Procore, SiteDocs, or Viewpoint.
  • Follow established workflows for document filing, QA/QC support, and compliance checklists.
