About The Position
A growing commercial construction firm is looking to add a Project Engineer to support a high-volume pipeline of drywall and finishing projects across the Austin market. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their construction career to gain hands-on exposure working alongside experienced Project Managers.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial drywall, acoustical construction, or supply house (Required)
- Strong understanding of materials (metal framing, ceilings, drywall systems)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Responsibilities
- Manage and track submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and project documentation
- Coordinate with general contractors, trades, and internal teams to keep projects moving
- Support procurement efforts including purchase orders and material tracking
- Assist with project closeout, ensuring all documentation, warranties, and deliverables are completed
