About The Position

Kinetic Construction Ltd. has an opportunity at our Nanaimo site for a Project Coordinator QA QC to provide administrative, clerical, and client/subtrade liaison support to the Project Management and Estimating Teams as required. The role will require experience in quality assurance, tracking project progress, monitoring project specific requirements, working directly with trades to manage consultant field report deficiencies, and transitioning into project closeout and deficiency management. The role will also require experience with RFI/Submittal management, correspondence and coordination with subtrades with guidance from PM and Super. Pending experience, change pricing management, and meeting minutes. The role is 100% positioned at the project site and will be comprised of 50% Project Management Support and 50% Site Superintendent Support in the field.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline/equivalent experience
3 - 5 years’ experience in Construction
Experience in quality assurance
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and required standards
Basic understanding of construction sequences
Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, SmartSheet and Procore
Ability to establish strong working relationships with subtrades and clients

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of BIM/VDC services, standards, implementation and practice is an asset
