About The Position

This position works cross-functionally to prepare, distribute, and communicate project-related status, solve problems, and support the agency's needs as ADOT's liaison and Project Investment Justification coordinator with the Arizona Strategic Enterprise Technology (ASET) Office. This role may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust, with many State employees participating in the Remote Work Program, allowing them to work remotely in their homes, offices, and hoteling spaces. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the organization’s methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
  • Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license.
  • Complete all required driver training.
  • Successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks.
  • Maintain acceptable driving records.
  • Maintain statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11) if operating a personally owned vehicle on state business.
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in project coordination (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates small to medium sized projects, including but not limited to creating and completing Project Investment Justifications (PIJ) that are submitted to ASET.
  • Works cross functionally to create documentation; prepare, distribute and communicate project related status; solve problems; create and update standard work and ensuring security compliance.
  • Monitors project or area progress and escalates as appropriate as well as updating IT measurements, policy and procedures.
