About The Position

IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator, University Information Services (UIS) - Georgetown University. This position provides operational and technical support for the integration of IT systems within University construction and renovation projects. The Coordinator serves as the primary on-site technical point of contact, ensuring that low-voltage cabling, hardware installation, and equipment room readiness meet University standards. By maintaining high-quality standards during implementation, this role supports the department's goal of delivering reliable, move-in-ready technology environments for the Georgetown community.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Associate’s degree or vocational certification in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Practical Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in low-voltage cabling, IT field services, or construction coordination.
• Technical Qualifications: Hands-on knowledge of copper/fiber testing equipment and ability to read basic floor plans.

Nice To Haves

• BICSI Installer certification or CompTIA Network+

Responsibilities

• Conducting daily site walkthroughs to monitor the progress of IT-related construction tasks.
• Verifying that low-voltage cabling and infrastructure installations match approved shop drawings.
• Coordinating the delivery and inventory of IT hardware (switches, APs, UPS) to construction sites.
• Assisting in the documentation of "as-built" drawings and system certifications.
• Facilitating communication between the IT Program Manager and on-site trade contractors
