About The Position

Creates and maintains standard project artifacts and helps support the execution of project activities. Coordinates activities and resources in support of one or more small to medium-sized project(s) that impact multiple departments, systems, work flows with medium to high risk, scope, size and complexity. Collaborates with project team to develop, maintain, and project manage aspects of a particular project(s). Develops and maintains project infrastructure in relation to tools, processes, and resources in conjunction with leadership. Works closely with other team members to collect and route information and assists in managing project timelines and escalates as appropriate. Independently manage work plans for sub teams or workgroups within the context of more complex projects. Requirements

  • College coursework in business, project management, math, economics, health care administration or equivalent education/experience
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of general Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and project management methodologies and/or Sutter Health’s project methodology and project management methodology.
  • Thorough understanding of current trends and strategies in healthcare in relation to information services.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain schedule within Project Server.
  • Prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operation.
  • Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
  • Work as part of a team or collaborate with colleagues.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.
