About The Position

Coordinates and executes the processes and distribution of deliverables necessary for the implementation of multiple department programs and projects to various county departments, stakeholders, Fee Credit Registry consultant, developers, and Federal and State agencies to ensure compliance with county distribution policies and regulations. This includes coordination with Pasco County Utilities, Pasco County GIS, Pasco County Planning Dept (Long Range Planning, Current Planning and Special District Manager), Pasco County Development Services Branch, and the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (Comp Plan Amendments).

  • Proficiency in software and web-based applications to include: Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some experience working with GIS, Autocad, and Shape Files.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, or squat frequently.
  • Physical ability to work out-of-doors for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication.
  • Ability to work extended hours during emergency response and recovery conditions.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years' of project coordination and office administrative experience and exposure to urban planning, GIS and autocad; OR high school diploma and four (4) years experience related to planning, autocad, or GIS.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and coordinates documents required for the Village of Pasadena Hills (VOPH) Planning and Policy Committee Meeting, Planning Commission and BCC related to the development activities of the Special Districts (Connected City and VOPH).
  • Provides administrative support to the Special District Manager in implementing the new Utility Surcharge and Credit Program and VOPH Fee Credit Registry.
  • Updates the VOPH and CC website with latest approved maps, plans and files as needed for public viewing.
  • Interacts with PCU to ensure latest proposed development plans for main transmission lines are submitted to GIS Department (for updating the Utility layer of the VOPH Base Maps) and offering GIS and planning assistance as needed.
  • Ensures approved MPUD layer is up to date with every Connected City and VOPH Final MPUD Approval and all related transportation and utility MPUD Conditions of Approvals are noted on GIS layers as well as actual site plan modifications constructed (roads rights of way and main transmission lines).
  • Assists, follows up, and coordinates on Development Services and Central Permitting, in receiving proper documentation to allow the required distributions of Mobility Fees, Utility Surcharges and Planning Fees and their appropriate associated Credit letters from the Special District developers.
  • Assists the engineering team of Current Planners to ensure the overlays of the Special Districts have the latest proposed and built road improvements, main utility transmission lines, and Conditions of Approval for accurate planning assessment and tracking purposes.
  • Tracks and follows up as needed to allow planners to work with the larger development picture of the development of the Special Districts.
  • Collects the Concept Plans found in Current Planning digital files and assist GIS in creating a new VOPH Concept Plan layer and update GIS appropriately and as needed.
  • Tracks the development of Special Districts to find trigger points for future needs (Traffic Monitoring Program in Connected City to coordinate MPO assistance needed, new Task Orders, etc).
  • Tracks entitlements to find land use trigger points (assists development reviewers).
  • Assists administering Special Districts (Connected City and VOPH) including other duties as assigned.
