Project Coordinator - Field Operations

About The Position

We’re a high-energy commercial furniture installer based in the Midwest. As offices and workplaces reconfigure for a hybrid world, we are the ones physically managing that reality. Our team is growing fast, and we need a field based coordinator to help keep our installation projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The Role (In Plain English): This is a high-utility, process-driven role. You will support our projects from kickoff to completion, acting as the critical execution link between our office, our field crew, and our clients. Your entire focus will be owning the Three Pillars of our project lifecycle: Prep & Launch (Pre-Project): You are the architect of the kickoff. Before a single truck rolls, you ensure everything is organized, drawings are verified, timelines are set, and the field crew has a flawless game plan to execute. Execution & Change Control (In-Flight): You are the manager of the momentum. As work unfolds, you keep projects on track, on schedule, and on budget—managing scope changes on the fly and ensuring every change order is documented, approved, and billed accurately. Closeouts & Sign-Off (Post-Project): You are the finisher at the line. When a project hits 95%, you step in to manage the final punch list, cross every t, dot every i, and ensure the client signs off with complete satisfaction. What You'll Actually Do (The Day-to-Day): Get Out in the Field: Conduct initial site visits and field measurements before the installation begins to spot potential hurdles, verify quality standards, and ensure the space matches the floor plans. Read the Playbook: Look at blueprints, floor plans, and technical layout drawings, and figure out exactly how the field crew needs to execute them on-site. Run the Numbers: Track time, materials, and field hours directly against the accepted quotes to ensure the job stays profitable and matches our initial targets. Own the Timeline: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our commercial installation projects from the initial site walk to the final handshake. Facilitate the Workflow: You aren’t here to micromanage human beings; you are here to manage the process. You will keep information flowing seamlessly between onsite general contractors, the customer, end-users, and our field team so every step is taken at the right moment.
