About The Position

The Project Engineer provides entry-level project support under close supervision. This role assists in tracking project documentation, material coordination, labor data collection, and schedule support functions. Work is performed under direct guidance from the Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, or senior project staff. The Project Engineer does not exercise independent judgment on cost, schedule decisions, vendor coordination, or external communication. Responsibilities are primarily administrative and data-driven in nature and are reviewed regularly for accuracy and completeness. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate advanced computer and keyboard skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Acute attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer, or employee related information.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Able to maintain a pleasant customer service attitude while under pressure.
  • High level of professional business acumen.
  • References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.
  • Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
  • Bachelor of Science in Building Construction or similar required.

  • Electrical experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining organized project files and documentation.
  • Enter and update project data including labor productivity tracking as directed.
  • Support tracking of General Contractor and internal schedules under supervision.
  • Assist with preparation and tracking of RFIs, submittmits, and change orders.
  • Maintain progress drawings as directed.
  • Take meeting notes and assist in distribution of documentation.
  • Support document control processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation as assigned.
  • Assist with tracking material deliveries and inventory records.
  • Support staging documentation and Bill of Materials tracking.
  • Maintain updated material logs under direction.
  • Assist with equipment tracking and documentation.
  • Coordinate documentation for equipment orders as directed by project leadership.
  • Assist with timekeeping support functions.
  • Attend job site meetings, as assigned.
  • Support task order breakout and quantity counts under supervision.
  • Provide administrative support to field personnel as directed.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously as assigned.
