About The Position

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Controls Specialist to join its Data Center development team. The role provides cost and commercial management processes and reporting across the North America project portfolio. The specialist works closely with the North America Commercial Director and Project Team Commercial Managers to support financial processes from project inception through completion.

Requirements

At least 5–7 years of experience delivering mission-critical construction projects, specifically in corporate real estate or military settings.
Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting and accounting.
Experience using cost control systems such as Oracle, Tririga, or Google Live Sheets.
Ability to influence stakeholders through logical arguments, think creatively, and work with substantial independence.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Professional certifications such as PMP or P.E.; these are described as industry-standard and highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Create and manage cost and commercial management processes.
Ensure project forecasts align with current funding, billings, and month-end and yearly close-out activities.
Support change control by evaluating budget revisions and reviewing contractor invoices.
Flag potential risks or changes in a timely and transparent manner.
Contribute as a subject matter expert to developing governance and training materials.
Ensure projects operate within approved parameters and organizational standards.
