This role is generally responsible for the supervision and technical direction over a team of project controls professionals. Work at this level requires extensive progressive experience in engineering and management, and will be performed under minimal supervision. The primary responsibilities include leading, training, and mentoring project controls professionals, reviewing and approving project controls deliverables, and performing advanced cost control work as a technical specialist for complex engineering assignments. The role also involves distributing and reviewing Office Earnings Reports, assisting with office budgets, validating and tracking project estimates and changes, producing professional service estimates, and maintaining estimating software. Additionally, the Project Controls Manager will develop cost studies, ensure permitting requirements are met, initiate change notices when deviations occur, and plan and organize the work of the project controls team. This includes communicating plans, tracking project performance, delegating work, and ensuring efficient progress and quality. The role requires knowledge of engineering and design functions, participation in training programs, establishing a safe work environment, and utilizing office standards. Building and maintaining client relationships, embracing technology, and understanding schedule constraints are also key aspects of this position.
