About The Position

Galaxy Digital Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager with extensive experience in managing schedule, cost, change, and documentation for large-scale, mission-critical construction programs, ideally within the data center sector. The role requires a critical eye for schedule analysis, change order evaluation, and contract management. The ideal candidate will be adept at building trust, surfacing risks early, and integrating cost, schedule, and risk management into a cohesive view of program health. This position operates in a dynamic environment with shifting scope and high stakes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of project controls or construction management experience on large-scale, complex programs.
  • Mission-critical or data center experience required.
  • Proven experience managing schedule on the owner's side, including oversight of scheduling consultants and review of GC-maintained schedules.
  • Deep, hands-on command of CPM scheduling and Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrated experience owning the change order process, including verification and direct negotiation with general contractors.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and GMP structures (AIA A133/A201 or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to hold GCs accountable and brief executives with equal credibility.
  • Ability to manage controls across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in schedule-driven sectors where downtime is critical.
  • Ability to critically read a P6 schedule, spotting broken logic, manipulated float, and impending critical path shifts.
  • Ability to pick apart a change order line by line and understand GMPs to catch buyout gaps before they become claims.
  • Comfort pushing back on general contractors and briefing executives on cost and schedule risk.
  • Proactive approach to surfacing bad news with supporting data.
  • Building trust through fairness, preparation, and accuracy.
  • Thinking in integrated systems of cost, schedule, risk, and change.
  • Versatility to move fluidly between field, GC, Finance, and executive levels.
  • A bias for order and structure, bringing discipline to controls, documentation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage third-party scheduling consultants, ensuring quality, cadence, and reporting standards.
  • Review and validate general contractor schedules, testing logic, durations, critical path, float, and sequencing against owner milestones.
  • Own schedule health reporting to leadership, providing clear, honest assessments of progress, risk, and forecasts, and escalating issues proactively.
  • Manage the end-to-end change order process: intake, review, verification, negotiation, and resolution.
  • Critically evaluate change orders for scope, pricing, and schedule impact, verifying quantities, labor, markups, and backup.
  • Negotiate change orders directly with the general contractor to protect Galaxy's cost and schedule position.
  • Represent Galaxy in weekly change and progress meetings with the GC, driving accountability and timely closure of open items.
  • Maintain a complete, auditable change order log reconciled against the project budget and GMP.
  • Serve as the liaison between field/GC reality and Finance's cost reporting.
  • Own documentation control for active projects, including RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting records, and contractual correspondence.
  • Establish and improve project controls standards, templates, reporting, and governance across the portfolio.
