About The Position

STV is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Manager / Senior Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the Philadelphia region. This is a leadership-level role supporting large-scale, complex construction programs, with a strong emphasis on schedule management, risk analysis, and project controls execution. The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of experience, deep knowledge of construction scheduling (preferably contractor-side exposure), and a proven track record supporting mega-projects ($1.5B+). This individual will play a critical role in guiding project teams, advising clients, and ensuring successful project delivery across high-profile programs. This position requires a minimum of three days per week onsite in Philadelphia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 20+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or construction management.
  • Extensive experience supporting large-scale construction projects ($1.5B+ in value).
  • Strong background in construction scheduling, preferably with contractor-side experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex CPM scheduling efforts on major capital programs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of: Construction sequencing and phasing, Critical path method (CPM) scheduling, Schedule risk analysis and recovery planning.
  • Experience with: Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and claims support, Cost/resource loading and forecasting (preferred), Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts (a plus).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting healthcare or hospital construction projects (strongly preferred).
  • Previous experience working in a contractor environment.
  • Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) preferred
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee project scheduling and controls activities across large, complex capital programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules across all project phases (planning, design, construction, and closeout).
  • Establish baseline schedules, monitor progress, and develop recovery and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide advisory-level input to leadership and clients on schedule performance, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Review and evaluate contractor schedules, updates, and sequencing approaches.
  • Perform and/or review Time Impact Analyses (TIAs), delay analyses, and change order schedule impacts.
  • Provide independent analysis and recommendations related to claims, extensions of time, and schedule disputes.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with contract requirements and scheduling best practices.
  • Lead schedule risk analysis, identifying critical path risks, float erosion, and potential delays.
  • Support claims analysis, forensic scheduling, and dispute resolution efforts.
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs and industry best practices.
  • Partner with project teams to proactively mitigate risks and optimize delivery outcomes.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and clients.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams to validate schedule assumptions, sequencing, and phasing.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior schedulers and project controls staff.
  • Present schedule updates, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
