About The Position

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the implementation, training, oversight, and execution of Project Controls practices for multiple projects across the company's operational groups. This role involves providing management and training to project controls personnel, guiding project management on controls analysis, trends, performance, forecasting, Time Impact Analysis, and claims. The position also requires coordinating resources, compiling and analyzing project controls data, leading project reviews, developing practices and procedures, and assisting project management with PM/Controls tools. The role demands working independently on complex assignments and completing performance reviews and personnel development for assigned employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of related experience in project controls or cost scheduling and planning
  • 2+ years of CPM schedule integration, or Cost Control and managing personnel
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments
  • Exceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the company
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to appreciate and respectfully debate different points of view and opinions
  • Influential and persuasive through communicating value from proposed changes

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience within large scale construction and/or EPC environments prefer
  • Experience within utility scale renewables environments highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate project scope, plan and progress to all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Provide management and training to project controls personnel on project controls functions, processes, tools and procedures
  • Provide guidance to project management on project controls analysis, trends, performance, forecasting, Time Impact Analysis, and claims
  • Coordinate resources and participants engaged in the Project Controls activities
  • Compile, review and analyze project controls related data and interface with upper management and project teams on results and provide innovative solutions to scheduling & cost performance
  • Lead project reviews on actual performance, budgets, change management forecasting, progress and schedule performance
  • Develop practices and procedures as directed
  • Assist/train project management in use of PM/Controls tools
  • Works independently on complex assignments
  • Complete performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees
  • Other duties as assigned
