About The Position

We are hiring a Project Controls Manager – EVMS (Earned Value Management System) to join our team in Atlanta, GA. A Project Controls Manager – EVMS (Earned Value Management System) plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the implementation and execution of EVMS Project Controls within an organization. Your role will involve developing EVMS processes and procedures, supporting project controls implementations, assisting company leaders with strategic and operational duties, designing and implementing EVMS principles, managing a team of Project Controls Specialists, configuring and maintaining the EVMS, ensuring compliance with EVMS standards, identifying reporting needs, and being responsible for multiple complex project controls functions related to Earned Value Management. You will interface with other groups, apply knowledge of EVMS concepts, work closely with project teams, and take the lead on challenging situations with minimal direction.

  • 10+ 15+Years Relevant Experience.
  • Several years of experience in program management, cost control, or a related field, with a strong background in Project Controls.
  • Must have strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills, as well as the communication skills necessary to interface with external engineering, architectural and construction firms, suppliers, the management team, and other organizations within client organizations.
  • Must be able to use A/E and CM cost and/or schedule information to evaluate project status.
  • Must have experience in developing budgets, cash flows, and/or schedules.
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited to SAP, Oracle, MS Excel, Power BI, etc. and ERP, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications.
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred.
  • PMI, AACE membership/certification or RICS qualified is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop EVMS process and procedures for Small/Mid/Large Projects Portfolio
  • Support Project Controls implementations consistent with the company standards.
  • Assist company leaders in their strategic and operational duties including, but not limited to: addressing and resolving tactical issues, monitoring project and implementation performance, enhancing coordination and communication among the team and stakeholders, ensure compliance with internal and external governance requirements, and facilitate the onboarding and integration of the full cost and schedule support team.
  • Design and implement EVMS principles in Power Generation, T&D Projects
  • Manage team of Project Controls Specialists to deploy EVMS standards in Project Management organization
  • Configure and maintain the EVMS, ensuring accurate data mapping and financial imports.
  • Ensure compliance with EVMS standards and guidelines.
  • Identify reporting needs, embed into standard and guidelines and coordinate periodic submission of EVMS required reports.
  • Responsible for multiple highly complex and sophisticated project controls functions related to Earned Value Management.
  • Responsible for routine interface with other groups in support of assigned functions and projects.
  • Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with EVMS.
  • Responsible for closely working with project teams on support functions.
