About The Position
Ready to see how planning, data, and organization help keep major projects moving? As a Project Controls Intern at Centrus Energy, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting projects at our American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) in Oak Ridge, TN. Working alongside experienced project controls and project management professionals, you’ll learn how teams use schedules, budgets, performance data, and project information to monitor progress and support successful project delivery. This internship offers practical experience that can launch a future career in project controls, project management, engineering, or business operations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate program in engineering, business, project management, construction management, finance, operations management, or a related field
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with an interest in working with data
- Interest in project controls, project management, planning, or process improvement
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting
- Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework in a technical field
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining project schedules
- Track costs and commitments
- Monitor milestones and deliverables
- Organize project data and reports
- Support project teams by identifying variances
- Maintain action and issue logs
- Help prepare updates and presentations for stakeholders
- Work with project managers, engineering, finance, and other teams to see how data and disciplined planning help keep complex projects on track
