The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for managing contracts and processing payments related to transportation projects. This role involves reviewing monthly invoices, processing reimbursement requests, performing data entry, and managing invoice coding for various project components. The engineer will also coordinate Independent Cost Estimates (ICE), conduct bid analyses, and organize bi-weekly project reviews to assess capital projects. Responsibilities extend to overseeing various on-call contracts, developing and enforcing cost recording standards, monitoring project performance, and reconciling project information to maintain audit-ready records. The role supports the administration of federal and state grant funding, resolves eligibility and scope issues, and analyzes project development and implementation status. Additionally, the engineer will track progress against timelines and funding requirements, prepare technical reports, maintain the Construction bid database, and develop systems for measuring project processes. Collaboration with the project team to assess cost and schedule impacts, support risk register development, and track project trends are key aspects of this position. The role also involves promoting initiatives related to Safety, Quality, and Diversity & Inclusion.
